Is There Anything That I Need to Bring to my Appointment?
Yes. You will need to bring the following items:
● Government-issued ID with your photo
● Papers that you have from Immigration Canada (example, a study, work or visitor permit
● Medical reports (if applicable)
● Any prescription medication (if applicable)

Do you Provide Copies of the Report
Yes, we do, please refer to Order Reports.
How long until my test is submitted to IRCC?
Immigration Medical Exams take approximately 5-10 business days to be submitted to IRCC.
I have completed my Immigration Medical, what are the next steps?
If you have a UMI case number you will need to scan the front and back of your information sheet onto the IRCC website and upload it.
Is bloodwork and X-Ray done at the same location?
Yes, all exams and tests are done in the same building.
Can I get a copy of my report?
Your case first has to be submitted to IRCC. You may request a copy of your medical report online for a fee of $15.00. Reports will be emailed to you through a
secure password-protected PDF attachment in a couple of business days.
What tests are done during an Immigration Medical?
An Immigration Medical Exam is a physical exam including blood work, urine and CXR. Please note you don’t have to be fasting for blood test.
Is bloodwork and X-Ray done at the same location?
Yes, all exams and tests are done in the same building.
Does OHIP or Insurance cover the Immigration Medical?
Immigration Medicals Exams are not covered under OHIP
What do I need to bring for my appointment?
For your Immigration Medical Exam, you will need the following:
*proper identification – at least 1 government-issued document with your
photograph and signature, such as: a passport, or national identity card. you
may also use a Canadian driver’s license, but only in Canada
*eyeglasses or contact lenses, if you wear them
*records of previous or existing medical conditions
*current permit (work, study or visitor)
*a list of current medications
*an interpreter or caregiver if needed with assistance
I am pregnant, can I still do my immigration medical exam?
Yes you can do your medical exam, however the doctor will consult with you on the risks of completing or not completing the x-ray during your pregnancy. If you do not wish to do your x-ray, you can do your CXR after having your baby.
How long is the Immigration Medical Exam valid for?
Immigration Medical Exams are valid for one year. Should you need another Immigration Medical Exam, please contact IRCC for further information
I have once completed my Immigration Medical Exam with my refugee documents; Am I still covered for the second one?
Interim Federal Health document is only valid for one time Medical Exam. A payment will be necessary if a second Medical Exam is needed.
How long does everything take?
Immigration Medical Exams take approximately 1.5-2 hours to be completed.
What happens if I am called back by a Panel Physician?
If you are called back to a Panel Physician, please do not panic. It is very common that IRCC may require more information in order to process your documents, simply contact us or book your appointment online.
Do you have any female Panel Physicians?
Yes, our female doctor can perform your Medical Exam.
Can I have my Medical Exam if I am on my period?
Yes.
Are your panel physicians approved by IRCC?
Yes.
Do you use e-Medical?
Yes. We are 100% e-Medical.
Do I need to bring any copies of my photos?
No, your picture will be taken electronically in our office.
